Our 2007 Christmas Story

Well another holiday season has come and passed and we are both feeling very grateful for everything we have. We are so fortunate in so many ways especially to have such great friends and families who we truly cherish. We were very lonesome for our families over Christmas but found comfort in having each other (and 2 stinky dogs!).

On Christmas Eve we spent the evening with our friends Kathy and Matt. We went to see the Zoolights and the Phoenix zoo. It was a really neat light display. Very cold but very beautiful.

We then went and had a really nice dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Unfortunately Kathy and Matt both ended up with a really bad stomach flu so Juan and I ended the evening with a glass of "Emergence C" vitamin c. Thank goodness we were lucky enough not to catch it.

Christmas morning we woke up and opened some presents (including the puppies of course).

For some reason I ended up with quite a few presents even though Juan said he didn't buy me much. This year we decided to try and make grampa's famous christmas omelet since we were sad to not get any of the original. And I must say it was delicious. No side pork for us however. We had yucky turkey bacon instead.

Although I did love our omelet, I must say that my all time favorite part of christmas was christmas cards! I love running to the mailbox everyday hoping for cards and pictures! They make my whole day. Everyone had such beautiful, creative cards this year. We loved, loved, loved them.

Football Season

This is how I spend my Sundays during football season. My friend Kathy has cheered for the Cardinals for 3 years now so I am on the sidelines helping the cheerleaders throughout the game. I'm not quite sure how she still has the stamina for this. I get tired just standing there watching!!

Funny Dog

Our dog Bailey always sleeps in the funniest positions. She falls asleep completely on her back. It cracks me up when I find her on her back in the hallways on the hard tile. It looks so uncomfortable. I am wondering if she has narcolepsy because she can't be comfortable sleeping like that.

Juan's Awards

Juan went to his yearly national meetings for work last week. He came home with quite a few awards after another year of hard work. Since he made it to the prestigious "Presidents Club" with his company this year, he also received a gorgeous gold ring. Unfortunatley a few of his awards did not make it home. After the award show he was heading up to his room to put away his awards and ended up trapped in the hotel elevator for 3 1/2 hours with 10 other people. Pretty scary. They ended up having to climb out on a ladder and a couple of his awards fell down the elevator shaft. And don't worry Kacie, as soon as I have a picture of Juan in his awesome green presidents club jacket I will be posting it!! Go Juan!!

Wedding Weekend

We were lucky enough to get to go to Utah for the weekend for Liz and Robbie's wedding. It was so beautiful and we are so happy for them. It was a blast to be with our "seamons" family and so fun to meet Robbie's family. Reed and Kathryn are so nice to always let us stay with them when we are in town. We have so much fun with them and spending time with sweet baby Brynley. Juan was extra busy over the wedding weekend recording tv and radio spots for Utah football. Go Utes!! Now this weekend we are off to California for Scott and Mary's wedding and looking forward to seeing everyone there.

HALLOWEEN!!!

It's almost Halloween! One of my favorite holiday's. I love to create crazy costumes every year. Our friends Kathy and Matt have a huge halloween party each year. We transform the front of their house into a seriously awesome spook alley and scare everyone as they come to the party. Its a great time. I'm still trying to come up with a great costume this year. My girlfriends and I think we want to be Disney princesses....of course with a twist.... Dead Disney princesses. I am thinking of being Cinderella who's tragic demise occured do to a deadly glass slipper stabbing!!! Or Tinkerbell (even though she's not a princess) who was the victim of a viscious fly swatter! Mmmwwaaaaaah!!!! (my scary laugh)

Blue or Green.....

I don't know how to post a poll (can you help me Kelly?) so I will just ask who likes the green accent wall and who likes the blue accent wall. This is one of our guest rooms for the kids (so far its only been Chandler so we call it his room). I need to buy accessories to fill in the room but have to decide what color accent wall everyone likes best. Please help.....

New Addition

We have a new addition at the Johnson house. We rescued another boxer from a boxer rescue group in Phoenix. Her name is Bailey and she is a handful but she is so happy and very sweet. I love her tiger striped coat. She is 10 months old so still has a little puppy left in her. I am remembering how much work it is to train a dog. But Kaleb loves her and its nice to have a companion for him. This doesn't mean we are "crazy dog people" right? I am hoping we get good karma points for rescueing her.

We are Here

Alright. I have decided to give this a try. Seems like a great way to keep in touch with our families!! (And I am attaching a sweet swimsuit picture to see if anyone will look at our blog!!) :)
Update: Juan wanted me to take off our "sweet swimsuit" picture. What a baby!! So here's one thats not too "swimsuitish." How pretty is the water in Bermuda?!
