Dentist Visit!

I took the girls to the dentist for a checkup and cleaning. This was Layla's second visit to the dentist so she knew what to expect and was excited to see the dentist. She thinks he is pretty funny. Since this was Tatum's first visit we spent a lot of days talking about the dentist and how to open her mouth, etc.

Layla did great for her xrays and cleaning.

 No cavities!

 Tatum's turn! She was so great for her cleaning. Just sat there with her mouth wide open saying "aaaah" the whole time.

 We were really curious to find out whether or not her two lateral teeth were ever going to come in. I had a feeling they were not since she even has all of her molars but no side teeth. The dentist said he wasn't able to tell and wanted to see if she would cooperate for xrays. Suprisingly she was amazing during the xrays. And the verdict.....no lateral teeth! So she will continue to have big gaps in the top row of her teeth, which is just fine with me! I looooove her gap teeth. Too cute. I do, however, hope she will have her lateral teeth when her permanent teeth do come in one day.

Rainy Day

It seems like we have had more rainy days this winter then I remember having in the last couple of years. The girls think it is so fun to put on rainboots and play/jump in puddles.

Juan's Birthday

Juan ended up having to be in Utah for his birthday so we decided to make him an early birthday dinner and of course his favorite caramel cake. Layla decided she needed to be "fancy" to make his cake and she was definetly that in her tutu and big pink bow headband.

It is so neat that our little Layla is reading! Even Tatum enjoys hearing her read a book (all while enjoying a banana as well).

Tatum's 18 Month Checkup

Well.....technically 19 month check up. Here is a little bit about our girl at one and a half. She weighed in at a little over 24 pounds and 32 1/2 inches. She really loooooves her blankets. She talks quite a bit and calls Layla "La La." She is a great eater and not picky at all (yay!!). Still hasn't taken to milk and nurses quite a bit. Tatum still isn't sleeping through the night and is up at least 2 to 3 times. Luckily, she takes a good 2 1/2 hour nap each day and goes to bed very easily now.

 

 



Of course Layla was along for the trip too (and in a matching outfit, shocker!)
