Memorial Day 2009

We were lucky enough to have the Hackney's come out to Arizona to visit us for Memorial Day. It was such a fun weekend filled with good food, swimming, and great friends.

Layla is 6 weeks older than Tobin. I think she was a bit much for his taste.



She was kind of a bully too and kept trying to steal his beloved binky.

We've moved!

the new Casa de Johnson. We are loving our new home and loving our new neighborhood even more. Plenty of families with young kids!! Yea! Juan's commute is a lot longer but he says it is a small sacrifice. We were lucky enough to have great friends that helped us move. And Kacie was a huge help and even painted Layla's room at the new house too. Moving with a 9 month old has not been easy. We still have some boxes to unpack and lots of decorating to do but we are ready for visitors anytime!!

9 months... and a wedding

9 months old!!

Layla had her 9 month checkup last week. She weighs just a little over 20 pounds and is 28 1/4 inches long. Her weight is leveling off a bit but she is still in the 75th percentile for height and weight. She is crawling all over so baby proofing is an on going activity here around the new house!

We also went up to Utah for Juan's brother Stephens wedding. It was nice to see our families and we had such a great time. Kacie was quite the lifesaver since we were very unprepared for the cold weather. She was so great and drove us all around and even let us camp out at her place. Thanks again for everything Kacie!!
