Fun with Ty

Cary and I decided to get our 2 little ones together while their big sisters were at school. Since it is still so hot outside the splash pad was a fun choice. Tatum refused to put down her blanket....I'm talking a huge crying fit over it! So here she is dragging it around the splash pad.

Even Ty was wondering if she would ever put down the blanket!

Layla's 4 year check up

Layla's 4 year check up went great! I made sure that she was well aware that she would be needing to get 4 shots that day. I did NOT want to surprise her with that. But I also knew we would be getting to do some fun things at her appointment as well....like an eye exam, and she thought that was pretty cool (so did I)!

 She weighed 36.6 pounds (50th percentile) and was a little over 42 inches (90th percentile). Although she was none to excited about the shots she did so well! She sat super still the entire time even though they were quite painful. She was very excited to pick a toy out of the treasure box and a lollipop (Tay got a lollipop as well)

We stopped on the way home to let her chose some beautiful flowers for being such a brave girl!

 

The next morning Layla woke up with an enormous swollen and very red arm. She ran a fever off and on for 2 days after as well. Apparently she had a really nasty reaction to one of the shots. We are going to have to be careful in the future about that vaccine for her.

Today was Layla's first day of preschool. She is back at Circle of Friends Preschool with Miss Stacey who we love! Layla was super excited to go and meet her new friends in her class.

Back to school

Today we went to Layla's preschool open house. Layla was so excited to see Mrs. Stacey and her new classroom. She was really disappointed when it was time to leave. Layla is definetly looking forward to starting school on Wednesday and we are really excited for her to have so much fun learning.

Tatum did a pretty good job for her photo shoot. I think the photographer did such a great job of capturing her personality in these photos.

Keri (the photographer) gave me a whole bunch of unedited extra photos so I have included some of those as well. I love this crawling picture where you can see her curls and her rolls!

While we were in Utah I had Kathryn's sweet (and super talented) friend take the girls pictures. I am going to break this post into a few because it is picture overload!! There are so many great pictures that I have had a hard time deciding which ones to print.

Layla was pretty silly and sassy at the end of the shoot but I just love these pictures of her having fun and being a silly girl.
