Layla’s Preschool Field Trip

Today we went to Schnepp’s Farm with Layla and her preschool class. It was on a day when Daddy was out of town and I didn’t feel comfortable with Layla going without one of us there. So baby Tatum came along for the fun. Luckily she did pretty well till the end when she had a serious meltdown on the train ride.
Layla’s class was learning about nutrition so it was really fun for them to see where food grows. They were even able to pick some vegetables.

One of the farmers pulled some swiss chard right out of the ground and Layla loved it. She ate the whole stem and then asked for more. Too funny!

When we got home Layla really wanted to try the vegetables they picked. Unfortunately it happened to be radishes. Here is what she thought about how that tasted!!

Sweet Sisters

Tatum absolutely looooves Layla! And she is such a great big sister. Layla sings Tatum "twinkle twinkle little star" before she takes a nap and Tatum will have the biggest smile on her face the whole time. It is one of my favorite parts of the day! This day Twinkle twinkle was followed up by a little diddy called "One I know." Layla has quite the imagination!

Halloween Night

Every year we have so much fun “trick or treating” on our street. Really we only take Layla to about 5 or so houses because she doesn’t know the difference yet. I made a big pot of chili and some cornbread and Melissa made some yummy mojitos to share with everyone. Then we just hung out enjoying friends and handed out candy

It is so fun that Layla’s friend Katrina lives a few houses down from us. These two girls have so much fun together. Isn’t Katrina’s bumble bee costume the cutest!

I threw together a quick “chiquita banana” costume while the girls were napping. I had fun with my glue gun!!

Layla was a beautiful purple (of course) butterfly. I had her face painted but it didn’t turn out quite right and we were running out of time so she was happy with some pretty glitter on her face instead.

Tatum had so much fun hanging outside with everyone. She had a serious case of the giggles and was such a trooper. She fell asleep on Daddy’s shoulder so we figured it was time to call it a night.

Pumpkin Patch

This is the 3rd year of our traditional trip to the Pumpkin Patch with the Henry’s. Of course, just as the years before, it was really warm again. We went early in the morning hoping to avoid the heat but it was still warm! We had so much fun anyways!

Fall Festival and a Tea Party

Layla had a fall festival at preschool which meant she could wear her costume and play lots of fun games and have yummy treats.

Trey is in the class right after Layla so we had to get some pictures with Cap’t Hook

Later we were lucky enough to be invited to Layla’s friend Katrina’s Mimi’s house for a super fun Halloween Tea Party. Katrina’s Mimi went all out and spoiled these 3 cute girls…and the mommy’s too. She was so sweet and even catered to my limited “diet.”

They made a really cute craft and you should have seen the goody bags that Tatum and Layla left with. We had such a great time.

Fall Fun!

We had a fun Halloween Get Together with our friends from the playgroup. It was at the park and all of the kids had a lot of fun playing together in their costumes and of course enjoying yummy treats afterwards.
