Whoopsie!

"We only color on paper."
I was cleaning up the kitchen and realized Layla was pretty quiet. Its not that uncommon for her to play quietly by herself but I remembered she had been coloring at her table with crayons. My gut told me to go check on her. I found her in the pool table room coloring yellow crayon all over the arms of a chair in there. So here she is cleaning up her master piece (ps a nice paste of baking soda and water cleaned it right up without too much scrubbing).

Weekend without Daddy

Juan had to be in San Francisco to work a conference so Layla and I were without Daddy for 4 days! Luckily we found plenty of things to do to keep us busy while he was gone.

We went to a fun Halloween Storytime at Barnes and Nobles.

There were lots of fun craft projects to make too


Layla's friend Katrina was shopping with her mom and showed up to read some books too

Last Thursday was full of fun. We started out the morning early with a trip to the zoo with Jacque and Addie. We wanted to get there early before it was too hot. Too bad it got hot fast and we left at lunchtime.

It was so warm while we were there we headed back to the beach

We also were able to spend some time with Grandpa Seamons. Wish I had remembered to bring my camera. It was such a fun visit. We had a lot of fun eating treats, playing games and lots of Wii "just dance." Lori was the "just dance" champ. Thanks to the Hess family for letting us camp out at their house.

Disneyland

A couple of weeks ago we jumped in the car to spend a few days, in what we thought would be cooler weather, in California and spend some time with family. We spent a super fun day at Disneyland. Layla absolutely loved being there (who doesn't love Disneyland).

I thought Layla would take a little nap of some sort during the day but she went all day without one. She even stayed awake while we waited for over 45 minutes for the fireworks to start. She fell asleep about 15 minutes into the show.

Tired girls!

Layla is still talking about Disneyland....numerous times a day. Next time we need to take Daddy with us!
