Its getting warm!!

The weather is definetly heating up here! The good thing is that it is still nice in the early morning and in the evenings so we are still able to get outside to run and play at the park. Summer will be here soon and we won't be able to do that for much longer. We decided to take advantage of the warm weather and go for a swim. The pool is a bit cool and Layla was pretty cold. I thought the water felt great and Tatum loved floating around.

Easter 2012

Easter morning started out with the traditional hunt for your basket. Layla found hers hiding behind a curtain

Layla wanted to get all of her cousins her favorite morning drink from Starbucks, a vanilla steamer....yummy!

The kids spent most of the day in the pool but came in for a bit to color eggs (look how much fun they are having in this picture)

That afternoon we had a really fun Easter egg hunt. All of the kids had fun finding eggs hidden all over the yard and on the golf course

Palm Springs

The weekend in Palm Springs was so so much fun! The house we rented was awesome and there was plenty of space for all 20 of us. The house backed right up to the most beautiful golf course. And the weather was perfect!
We spent a lot of time loving on cute babies.....(Tatum looks like such a happy baby in this picture but she was not so during our trip! She was so out of sorts, not very happy and hardly slept. When we got home I found out the reason....four new teeth were coming in! Ouch!)

Layla had so much fun being with her cousins. She also did such a great job swimming on her own. Makes me so happy that this last year of swim lessons has paid off and that she is such a great swimmer.

I am thinking this should be a yearly tradition!!

Lemonade out of Lemons

My sweet grandfather passed away. He was such a kind man and he will be missed but we know he is happily reunited with my grandma. We headed to California for the funeral services. Even though it was a sad time we were so happy and excited to get to spend some time with my family.
Juan was in New York so I braved the 6 hour drive by myself with the girls. Thankfully the drive was uneventful. Layla is very good in the car however Tatum is not so much. She did a decent job keeping it together on the drive there. Juan arrived into town later that evening.

Our first stop was to the Hackney house. They were nice enough to let all 4 of us camp out in the guest room! Thanks again guys! Layla and Tobin had fun shooting hoops together.
Then we met a whole lot of my family at our favorite family restaurant in Long Beach! Super yummy and fun!

The next morning the girls were up sooooo early and we didn't want to wake the Hackney's so I suggested a quick trip to the beach. Lovely early morning family photo.

Since all of my brothers and sisters were all in town we decided to rent a house in Palm Springs so we could spend a few days of fun together. Lemonade out of lemons!!

Visit with the Easter Bunny

We had to run a couple errands after I picked Layla up from school the other day and guess who was there! Layla always loves a visit with the Easter Bunny.....Tatum, not so much. I thought it was so funny that I bought the $15 picture.
