Car seats!

From this.... (leaving the hospital)

to this..... (1 year old birthday)

Wow! What an amazing year. It is hard to believe how small she once was. Daddy installed Layla's new carseat today on her birthday and we decided to go for a drive to test it out (looks like she liked all of the leg room!).

Happy Birthday Layla!

We can't believe our baby girl is 1 year old today. Mommy and Daddy love you so much Layla. We have loved being your parents and watching you grow!

Utah Visit

Layla and I went to Utah last weekend for Grandpa Bill's birthday. The weather was beautiful and we were so happy to get to spend some time with our family. We stayed with the Liz, Robbie and Chandler in Oakley for a couple of days. Robbie spoiled us with some good cooking! Layla was (unfortunatley) attached to my hip the entire time we were there. She would hold hands with everyone but that was about it. Not sure why she was so out of sorts this visit but hopefully she will be better the next time. Grandpa was nice enough to share his birthday party with Layla since her birthday is coming up in a couple weeks.

Happy 4th of July

We had a nice relaxing fourth of July at home this year. Sage and Cary came by to play for a little while. Juan threw some meat on the grill and we went swimming. Layla had her first popsicle which ended in a fit and she was fast asleep long before fireworks. Maybe she will be old enough to stay awake for them next year.

Johnson Family reunion

We had such a great time getting to see our Johnson family in Georgia last week. Layla was such a good girl on the flight both directions. Everyone was so sweet to her and gave her so much love. She is still pretty partial to her mommy and daddy but gave everyone a little lovin. We are so lucky to have so many great people to love.
