Layla has been asking to ride the City Bus for the longest time. Juan promised he would take her soon. We happened to be driving by a bus stop while running errands so Daddy made good on his promise. They hopped on, paid the bus fare and rode around town for a bit. Tatum and I followed behind in the car so we could pick them up after a few stops.

Layla's last day of Preschool
Today was Layla's last day of Preschool and her class had a pajama party. It was the Hungry Caterpillar theme and all of the kids brought yummy food to eat just like the Caterpillar eats in the book.
Layla has absolutely loved Preschool this year and has learned so much. We are really going to miss Mrs. Stacey over the summer.

Lots of crawling
Tatum is crawling all over the house now. She has gotten pretty fast. Layla thinks it is pretty fun to crawl around with her too.

Officially a crawler!
At 11 months and 1 week old Ms. Tatum is officially crawling. She is no longer dragging herself around on her belly like an inch worm. She is up on all four crusing around. Time to do some more baby proofing now that she is totally mobile (and getting faster everyday).
Yay Tatum! Clapping for herself.

Trip to Utah
We headed to Utah over the weekend for a wedding for a friend of Juan's wedding and a few family events. It was a busy weekend but we had such a nice visit. We were so excited to be there for our sweet Kendall's adoption finalization festivities!! And of course Layla was super excited to get to see all of her cousins as well.
This is a picture of Layla's dream come true! Everytime we go to Target she asks me if when Brynley comes to visit we can go to Target so they can ride together in one of these big huge shopping carts!
The plane ride home was quite eventful. We were on a 6pm flight that was delayed a bit. No big deal. A ways into the flight the captain lets us know that we are making circles over the desert because we were unable to land in Phoenix due to a big storm that was in the area. Unfortunately it didn't clear up and they rerouted us to Vegas. So we sat on the runway for awhile there before we were able to head into Phoenix. All said and done I was on the plane by myself with 2 little girls for over 5 1/2 hours. We made it home (finally) safely and that is what is important.
Love that we had to go to Utah for a date!! We arrived at the airport, picked up the rental car and then headed to Grandma Sharon's to drop off the girls. We raced to the wedding but luckily made it in time.
The next day we headed to Reed and Kat's church and then to Grandma sharon's church before Juan had to leave for the airport.

One of the days there we took all of the kids bowling. It was so much fun and the kids did just as much dancing as they did bowling.
Getting some Kendall lovin'
Lori getting some Kendall lovin' too
Our last day we grabbed sandwiches and headed to the park to enjoy the beautiful weather. Tatum loved the swings!

Last soccer game of the season
Layla had her last soccer game of the season on Saturday. She went out with a bang scoring her first goal. All week she told us that she was "going to score" and she did (so what that it was in the other teams goal!!). It was super fun that for her last game she played Sage's team. It was too cute to see them out there running around together. The most exciting part was getting her first trophy at the end of the game. What a way to end a fun (though very short) season of soccer!!

Layla’s School trip to the Children’s Museum
Layla’s preschool class took a field trip to the Phoenix Children’s Museum. This place is just amazing for kids. She had such a great time learning and exploring with her friends. Juan took the morning off to stay home with Tatum so I could enjoy spending time with Layla there.
Layla and her friend Ellie took turns riding through the car wash
Grocery shopping was so much fun!
