Layla's 3rd Birthday

Layla woke up on the morning of her birthday not feeling so hot but she really wanted to go bounce somewhere. So we were off to the play factory to get her bounce on! Shannon, Trey and Boston came to get their bounce on too!

Layla found a fun hippity hop (not sure if that is what its called but that's what I called mine when I was little)

Layla chose pizza for her birthday dinner so we went to Grimaldi's for dinner. They give the kids pizza dough to play with while you wait for your dinner.

Tatum gave Layla a Minnie Mouse placemat, cup and spoon and fork that she loved. She gave her a big kiss to thank her.
After dinner we went to grab some frozen yogurt. Unfortunately our baby sister was done at this point and we had to get it to go. We went home and Layla opened a few more presents. She was so sweet with every present she opened and kept thanking us. Love her!

We had a small party for Layla this year. She invited some friends over and we bbq'd and swam. Grandma Sharon drove out from Utah like she does every year. We love having her here and Layla has so much fun playing with her. Of course she spoils Layla so much!

Thanks to everyone who came and helped us celebrate Layla and her birthday. She really had so much fun and talked about her party for days!

Happy birthday Layla

Happy 3rd birthday to you Layla. You are such an amazing little girl. Your Daddy and I are so proud of what a great little person you are. You are so sweet and sensitive of other people and their feelings. You are very smart and have a hilarious sense of humor. You crack us up all day. You are also a great big sister to Tatum and she loves you very much.

Here is a little bit about Layla
-'er I mean Rapunzel. She tells everyone that is her name and refuses to say her real name is Layla...."no my real name is Rapunzel Johnson"
-Loves to talk and talk and talk. We are working on slowing down and saying her words a bit better but she is quite the talker
-Is a serious negotiator. Daddy says he is starting her Law school fund. It is hilarious to watch her try and negotiate with everyone. Problem is she is reeeeally good at it.
-Takes such good care of Tatum. Tatum cries a lot and Layla never seems to mind (even when she can't hear her movie in the car). She will hold her hand and tell her we are almost there.
-Thinks everytime Tatum cries it's because "her wants me"
-Naptime is super easy but bedtime becomes a bit of a challenge with lots of negotiations and stalling. And the stalling includes calling numerous times for mommy and daddy and when we go in there to see what she needs (again) she'll say "I need to tell you I lobe you" or "your the best mommy/daddy I neber knew"
-Is finally getting better about sharing and getting along with her friends.
-LOVES her daddy
-LOVES her blankets (there are 3 now)
-loves to dress up and is very into princesses (thomas the train is on his way out)
-very independant and able to dress herself and put on her shoes and buckle sandals (love this!)

Height: 22 inches (75th-90th percentile)
Weight: 10pds 3oz (75th)
She is a super healthy hooray!! She is also pretty fussy. But we still think she is the greatest baby around and so happy she is ours.

She likes a pacifier and yes I will be breaking this soon.....no paci's for my girls :)

Home for a nap! Somehow they both ended up in our bed. As long as they are sleeping!!
