a 5k

Juan ran a 5k fun run on Saturday. It was such a short run that he crossed the finish line before Layla and I even got there. After the race they were doing a drawing for an Ipad 2. Since all of the money went to a charity we decided to buy a bunch of raffle tickets. We didn't win unfortunately but Layla had a blast playing at the park and checking out a fire truck.

"Just Dance"

Layla had so much fun playing Just Dance on the Wii with Shelby. So much so that she threw a big tantrum and cried when Lori and I took a turn. Before we could give her any "remote" and she thought it was working. Now she has caught on and only wanted the real Wii remote.

Disneyland!

Layla has been asking to go to Disneyland with Daddy since we went the last time in September. We decided to take a quick trip before little mama arrives (Disneyland with a baby is no fun!). Layla was asking me everyday when we were going to leave for Disneyland so we made a chain for her to count down the days.


Right as we got into the park we ran into this guy!! What a fun way to start the day.

Layla's first roller coaster ride with Daddy. I couldn't believe she was tall enough to ride. I knew Juan would make sure she was secure in the seat but I was so worried the whole time!

Aunt Kat bought all the girls a big lollipop on our last trip to Disneyland and Layla has talked about it ever since. She was so excited to have one!

Lori and Shelby came to hang out with us for the afternoon. Shelby was such a good sport and did whatever Layla wanted to do.

We had such a great time. Layla obviously didn't take a nap all day and didn't fall asleep for a long time after we got back to our hotel. She was deliriously tired and it was so funny.

On Saturday we headed to Long Beach to visit with family and friends.

Lori was nice enough to watch Layla while Juan and I went for a short date down to Second street for an ice cream cone. Such a treat for us!! We brought back some Domenico's pizza and enjoyed a good game of Wii Just Dance. Fun trip!
