Ouch!

Well Layla's 2 month appointment was this morning and it was just as horrible as I expected. She was due to start her vaccinations which was a real debate for Juan and I. We definetly wanted to vaccinate her but weren't sure as to who's schedule. After speaking with our doctor and doing some more research, we decided to do the normal vaccination schedule which meant this little girl had to have 4 shots and one oral vaccination. She was not a happy girl and ended up working herself up so much that she threw up all over her and I. You think I would learn by now to always keep an extra outfit around but I never seem to! I guess I am still figuring out this whole motherhood thing!

The other news is that we have some serious physical therapy to do at home with this little girl to strengthen the other side of her neck. She has always favored turning her head to one side and it is really strong on that side (thus my c-section). So now we have to hold her head down flat for 2 minutes at a time 15 times a day. Hopefully this will work and therefore avoid the possibility of her having to wear a helmet to correct it. 2 minutes is a long time when you have a screaming baby but I will take that over the alternative!

Here is another shot of her serious thighs! She is almost 14 pounds and 23 inches! That puts her in the 95th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height. She is one healthy girl!

So guess who weighs 12 pounds!!

Here are the rolls to prove it (notice the fists of furry?)!

Yesterday I weighed myself alone (pretty depressing) and then with Layla and she weighs over 12 pounds at 6 1/2 weeks old! Can you over feed a newborn?

Layla's BFF Sage!

Layla and I had a playdate with our friends Cary and Sage. Sage is 6 months older than Layla. Since Cary and I are both home with our girls, we love to get together
for lunch and playdates.

Layla was not happy to get in her carseat but Sage was a perfect angel

Riding in the car together

Playing with toys!

Sage giving Layla a kiss goodbye!

Cary and I have decided today that we may have to do these playdates more often. Both of our girls slept so well last night. Layla slept 4 1/2 hours between a feeding last night and she never goes longer than 2 or 2 1/2 hours (It scared me to death)!!
