San Diego

Day 1
Our family vacation technically started in beautiful Yuma Arizona. Yuma is part of Juan's territory so he worked a bit on our way down to San Diego. Layla and I spent the day at the hotel. Layla spent a lot of time pushing her babies around the hotel.

The next morning we were off to San Digo. We stayed on Coronado Island and it was amazing! The weather was perfect and we still got to put on sweatshirts in the evening. That is a big deal for us!

Layla was so anxious to get to the beach so after we checked into our hotel we were off to the beach.

The next morning we were off to Sea World for the day. Layla really loved the Sesame Street play area. I think she would have stayed there the whole day.
On her first ride

She loved watching Cookie, Zoe, Abby and Elmo dance
Meeting Elmo up close! Wasn't sure how this would go over but she loved it!

At the Shamu show

Layla woke up the day before with a cold so a long day at SeaWorld and no nap made for an exhausted girl. Even with a yucky cold she was such a trooper the whole trip
Saturday we were back to the beach.

That evening we rode the ferry across the bay and went and cruised around the Gaslamp District. After some yummy ice cream we met the Hackney's for dinner.

Our last full day
We cruised this sweet ride around the island

Enjoyed a nice stroll to the beach

and spent some more time playing in the sand with daddy

And then a popsicle poolside

A yummy dinner and an evening stroll with these guys

These 2 had so much fun together
It was so nice of the Hackney's to come down and spend some time with us in San Diego. They are so much fun.

We were a little late getting home Monday so we decided to stop at the kennel to pick up the dogs instead of driving home to switch cars. So we piled Kaleb and Bailey in the backseat. Layla missed her doggies and they missed us. It was a pretty hilarious drive home.

We had such a great vacation. I only wished we had stayed longer. Looks like I need to take Layla to Long Beach soon. She is definetly a beach girl!!

What we've been up to

A new big girl bed! We were hoping that more room for Layla would maybe help with her sleeping. So far its not and she is still looking for me during the night!! The nice part is that the trundle pulls out to make a double bed. Makes for much better "middle of the night" snuggling. We are going to have to work on that......

We have also been doing lots of this

Juan and I also celebrated our 5th anniversary a few days early. Thanks to the Henry Family for lovin Layla and letting us get a chance to get out on our own for a date. Only the second time we have done that in over 2 years!! Sad but true. We had so much fun that we may try to start dating again....
