My helper

(Notice her blanket on the floor in the back of the pictures... She is getting quite attached to her blankets. We have to take them everywhere!)
Layla is into everything lately. She is such a busy little girl exploring her new world. Now she is even helping me unload the dishwasher (although honestly she isn't much help). It is so fun having a little one playing in the kitchen. I set up a shelf of items she can play with like tupperware and plastic spoons, etc. And the other day I went to clean the stainless fridge and there were the cutest little handprints at the bottom. I decided to leave it messy. I couldn't wipe away those cute marks. I am leaving the windows dirty now too!!

Our Lizards

We have lizards in our new backyard and we are able to see them occassionally. We think they are pretty cool and I am happy to have some help with bug control. Yesterday there were 2 baby lizards basking in the sun on the wall. They were tiny! I wonder what is going to happen when the dogs finally see one?

Family Pictures

Kathy's cute sister took some family photos for us while she was in town last week. We tried to warn her how un-photogenic Juan and I are so I am hoping to get at least a couple good ones of the 3 of us. She did give us a little sneak peek at the pictures. She is so sweet and so talented!! Thanks again Bri!

Work out......

or not!

Layla had a very different idea about working out yesterday than I did. I was hoping to get a nice morning workout and Layla decided to take a 2 hour nap. The funny thing is that she is not much of a napper and rarely takes a nap that is longer than 45 minutes. Oh well, maybe another day.
