None of these pictures are edited at all so you can see Tatum's lovely first black eye. We aren't exactly sure how it happened but I think it was from Tatum hitting her head on Layla's bed when she reached down to pick something off the ground. I talked to her nurse and she said if you hit your head in certain spots it can cause your eye to black. Poor girlie!

Family Pictures
My friend and neighbor Megan was nice enough to take a few photos of us to use for our Christmas card. She took almost one million photos of us, which was perfect because we are not the most photogenic group. They turned out great and I hurried and had cards printed and mailed just before Christmas.

the Girls Christmas Trees
I misplaced my camera so a lot of the pictures from December were taken with my camera phone (update I did find the camera in a pocket in the bike trailer).
I love that the girls have their own Christmas trees in their room. They make the perfect and most beautiful night light!!

Visit with Santa
Layla was really excited to visit Santa. Tatum, on the other hand, was definetly not a fan. She was screaming and would not even get near him. You can tell from Layla's picture with Santa she is a fan!

Last day
The weather was so so nice while Reed and crew were here. The morning they were getting ready to leave, Juan and I took the girls to the park to get out some energy before their long car ride home.
Tatum loved having Kendall ride in the back of the bike trailer with her.
Girls at the park in their jammies!
We were so sad to see them leave. We had way too much fun. Their were lots of late nights playing cards with Reed and Kat and way too many treats consumed. Hopefully they will want to get out of the cold Utah weather again next year!!

Thanksgiving 2012
It was really fun having Reed and Kat and the girls here to spend Thanksgiving with. We started out the morning with a little Turkey Trot. Layla and Brynley started out riding scooters and Tatum and
Kendall were in the jogger stroller. Both Brynley and Layla got tired on their scooters so Brynley sat on the front of the jogger stroller with the babies and Juan ran Layla home on his shoulders. We were a pretty funny looking crew!
Neither Kathryn or I had ever cooked a turkey before so it was an interesting experience. We weren't totally convinced it was cooked so I was glad we bought a honey baked ham as well. The weather was so nice and warm that we ate outside. Unfortunately, there were a flies also wanting to have Thanksgiving dinner so we moved back inside.

Trip to the zoo
The weather was so warm that we decided to take Reed, Kat, Brynley and Kendall to the zoo for the day. Everyone loves feeding the giraffe's!
The monkey's are kind of hard to see in the trees behind us.
Not an easy task to get 4 little ones in a photo

Swimming in November
Since we had special visitors in town we decided to heat the pool and let the kids take advantage of the pretty weather we are having.
Layla, Brynley, Shelby and Brooklynn
Layla's last soccer game of the season
Layla had quite the cheering section for her last soccer game of the season. Lori and her family and Reed and his family came in town for Kevin's ironman race. Adam was also here working on a store. Joyce was nice enough to come out with her 3 cute girls too so she had lots of family cheering her on.
Layla was definetly more interested in playing with her cousins than playing soccer. But it was a great way to end her season!

Sleepy girl
Tatum has a hard time stalling her nap on days we have to pick Layla up from school. Today she couldn't just layed down in the living room and fell asleep.

The weather was so beautiful so Cary and I met at one of our favorite places. The food is yummy and the kids love running around in the grass.

Halloween!!
We had another great Halloween on our street. I made the usual pot of chili and our friends and neighbors came and hung out in the driveway before the daddy's took the little ones out trick or treating. The mommy's sat out front to hand out candy. We went with the superhero theme this year and of course Juan and I threw our costumes together about 30 minutes ahead of time. Tatum absolutely loooooved Halloween this year. She also really enjoyed her superhero cape and ran around like a crazy baby with a huge smile on her face the whole night.

Sage was a beautiful mermaid and Ty was the cutest puppy dog I ever saw!

Pumpkin Patch
We took our annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch with the Henry's. It is always still so warm here in October so we try to go early in the morning before it gets too hot. The kids had so much exploring around the farm, seeing animals, having their faces painted, and of course choosing a pumpkin.
