Valentine’s Day

Layla was pretty excited about Valentine's Day this year. I think as kids get older holidays become a lot more fun. She was really looking forward to the day so we planned a bunch of fun things to do.

The day before Valentine's we went to Katrina's house so the girls could make cookies together.

The girls had a lot of fun decorating/sampling these yummy strawberry cookies.

Layla had a super fun pajama pancake party at school on Valentine's Day. She told me that Mrs. Stacey made really yummy heart shaped pancakes.

Then we met some friends from the playgroup at Pottery Barn for a fun Valentine storytime.

I tried to get a shot of both girls together but it didn’t work out too well. Here is the attempt….

Layla delivered valentine’s to her friends in the neighborhood after naptime.
We finished up just in time before a windy storm blew in. Then we went to visit the Henry’s and get some heart day lovin’ from them. We stopped for a pizza on the way home (and no I did not spend the extra $5 to make it heart shaped either).

We were so lucky to have aunt Lizzy come out for a visit! The weather was so nice and we were able to enjoy lots of fun lunches outside. Lizzy was even nice enough to watch the girls so Juan and I could go on a date!! Yay! Layla and Tatum had so much fun playing with aunt Lizzy. Layla could hardly wait till Liz woke up each morning.

On Saturday we headed out for a sisters day of fun. Yummy sushi! It was so warm outside we took off our jackets. Then we headed off for pedicures. We can't wait for her to come back and visit again (and bring Chandler!).

Papa Bill came into town with the DeScheppers and we were so lucky to have him spend the night at our house. It was really a special treat.
