Zoo Day!

The temperature is finally dipping below 100 degrees so I was so excited to meet our favorite zoo buddies for a fun morning at the zoo. It was still pretty warm so we didn't stay for very long.

Weekend staycation

We took a quick family "staycation" to Tucson for a little getaway. We stayed at the JW Marriott and it was nestled up in the mountainside and absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately there were quite a few good rain and thunderstorms so the pool was closed the first day. We ended up stuck in the room with the two girls so we ordered room service and went to bed early. The next morning we had a yummy breakfast and it was even cool enough to eat outside on the patio. Very fun! Juan and Layla braved the pool for awhile but they were both freezing. Another storm was on its way in that afternoon so we decided to just head home. I was hoping for hiking and swimming and relaxing but it didn't really work out that way. We will definetly go back another weekend and try again soon though although packing us all up for 1 overnight was alot of w.o.r.k!

Twins!

The two pictures are not of the same baby! The first picture is Tatum with Uncle Reed and the second picture is Layla with Daddy at about the same age (9 weeks). They look almost identical!!

Layla Date

I decided to take advantage of Juan being home on Labor Day and spend some one on one time with Layla. And Daddy got some one on one time with Tatum. I took Layla to the pool near our house. It is one of our favorite places to go. I figured it would be a bit crowded on a holiday but it was CROWDED!! We still had so much fun together and the best part was that it was under 100 degrees that day. YAY!

The other funny news is that we, well Daddy, learned that Tatum will no longer take a bottle. Good thing Layla and I were already on our way home. I even tried to see if she would take the bottle from Layla but even that didn't work. But Layla had fun being a big sister (trying) giving Tay a bottle.

I had the carpets cleaned last week so Tatum napped in her crib for the first time.
I'm still not ready for her to be in her own room just yet!

I love when she takes pictures. So fun to see Layla's perspective of the world. And this is totally me most days.....wearing a sundress, hair in a ponytail and a cute baby slung over my shoulder, arm, hip, etc!
